SRCD (short for Society for Research in Child Development) has many different facets of research on how children develop their language, cognitive skills, academic skills, and more. It also focuses on the environmental factors that impact child development. We were honored to have one of our graduate student, Jojo, present in the talk.
Jojo presented her talk on: “Social learning in school-aged children: the effect of social contexts on word learning and retention” (Hu A. & Qi Z., 2023). She quotes “”I learned a lot from other research perspectives and especially how social factors play such a significant role in shaping children’s learning environment.”
